What is the purpose of an HOA board of directors?

Your community association is a not-for-profit corporation, and its Board of Directors has the responsibility to run the business of the corporation.  The board has a fiduciary responsibility to the members or owners of the corporation.  Fiduciary responsibility includes timely collection of assessments as well as payments made for services provided to the association.  In general, the board members are the decision makers for the association.
